This is a new piece I started working on the other night…that’s why there are wires sticking out the back of it. I’ve never done wire wrapping quite like this before…more involved than anything I’d previously done. It’s been a challenge, but I’m enjoying the learning process.
It won’t be a piece for sale, but is a gift for a friend. The red…jasper (?) base stone was found on my friend’s property in New Mexico in the Fall when I visited. I kept looking at it…trying to figure out what I wanted to do with it…and…viola’!
I love using animal fetishes, and leaves in much of my work. This bear fetish seemed appropriate to perch atop the red stone. I’m lovin’ it!!
